I will forgot it was there- also using Josh Madakors YouTube examples gonna pop an azure Active Directory piece out and likely a file integrity checker tool, and then a power shell -
Yea the coding stuff is something I struggle with a bit. Madakor is the person who actually got me to get my hands dirty with building Vnets, Vnics, and remoting into dual stacked VMS and running domain controllers and did my first pcap and analysis with his guidance. He’s the reason I fell in love with Azure!
Been following you for years, subscribed today, bought a laptop, wrote down road map, and planned out my studying schedule. Day 1 starts here. Certs by Q1, portfolio by Q2, Job by Q3, Broncos country let's ride (JK I'm a Bucs fan, RIP)
Dude, so super NoOb question, im looking at a spec’d out computer ROG Strix Scar 17 (2022) G733 to be exact… in everything I do in life I always go for overkill… is this TOO much …
Possible but extremely unlikely. Most laptops for sale on craigslist are old dudes or kids selling their old college laptops. Buy UBSs new and load a new OS when you get the device. If someone were to try and hack your laptop after selling it to you, they'd do so by adding malicious files after wiping Windows, hoping you just set it up like normal without putting your own OS first.
It's the same kind of risk that there could be malicious Chinese firmware on a device too, but the likelihood of that is extremely low.
Just quit the Coursera course to jump on here with you all! I could really use a mentor to help with coding and want to learn as much as possible. My hope leave at least as much as I take from the group.
Subscribed today. Plan to start working through everything now
Welcome fren 🥂
Not even sure which portfolio thing to start first lol. Finally have Net+ and Sec+
Take a look at my example portfolio! They're all in the stack!

This is beautiful. I want to put powershell into the stack sometime soon!

Nice, ready to get started.
Risk of used laptop being hacked by seller? Or the same case with used USB drives?

We can use Ubuntu for all the stack right? Or it has to be Linux?
Ubuntu is Linux fam. Ubuntu and Kali is all you need.
